4-H Jr. Summer Camp
Join Us for Amherst County 4-H Summer Camp!
July 14-18, 2025 at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox, VA.
Online registration will open on March 21st at 6:30 AM.
Who is eligible to attend 4-H camp?
Youth who turn 9 by September 30, 2025, and are no older than 14 by September 30, 2025, can attend as campers. If your child turned 13 before January 1, 2025, and are in 8th grade, they are eligible to attend as a Counselor in Training (CIT).
Registration and Fees:
The registration fee of $300.00 covers all meals, lodging, classes, activities, and a camp t-shirt. Everything is covered except camp store items.
PLEASE NOTE: Bus transportation will NOT be provided this year. Please contact the office if you have questions regarding this new change.
Following registration, if your child secures a spot at camp, you will be notified by email with specific directions to make the deposit and enroll your child on 4-H Online within 5 business days. All campers will be required to enroll on 4-H Online to attend camp. A due date will be given. If the deposit or enrollment is not completed by the due date, your child will lose their spot.
Class selections and Roommate Requests:
A separate email will be sent the week after Spring Break with links to complete the form to request a roommate(s) and select classes for camp.
Scholarship Opportunity:
Information about scholarship availability will be included in the email as well. A limited amount of scholarship money will be available for 2025. A registration form and $100 non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit is still required even if applying for a scholarship. Applications for scholarship will not be accepted after May 1, 2025.
Waitlist:
If you are placed on the waitlist, you will receive an email informing you that you are on the waitlist and should a position open, you will be contacted. All registrations will be time stamped. You will be updated regularly regarding the waitlist and whether a spot opens for your child.
